2016 Conference Report
Record attendance by facility operators and exhibitors fueled a successful event at USIndoor’s 16th Annual Facility Operator’s Conference and Tradeshow in Las Vegas. Held at Green Valley Ranch Resort and Casino, May 2-5, this year’s event attracted close to 300 attendees, passing the record set in 2013 at the same location. Guided by industry leaders and other experts, facility operators and prospective startups engaged in a variety of programs in a mix of classroom, roundtable, panel, and social settings.
Sellouts of the Tradeshow, Executive Symposium, Facility Bus Tour, and Blue Man Group highlighted this year’s Conference, while Chef Jeff Henderson’s educational and inspirational Keynote Address ended with a standing ovation. The event also marked the return of the bi-annual Certified Arena Operator course, which also had strong attendance. The next CAO course is planned for 2018.
Led by Platinum Sponsors, SportsLife X, Clipcast Sports, and Monument Sports Group, the Tradeshow featured many returning providers, plus a wide, enthusiastic array of first-time exhibitors–40 in all. Gold Sponsors, EZFacility and Video Observer, and Silver Sponsors, AthleteTrax, Seaman Corporation, The Hanover Group and GARED, complimented the sold-out sponsorship cast.
Next year, the Conference travels eastward to Baltimore, Maryland, for USIndoor’s 17th Annual. The Renaissance Hotel, our host, is right across from the Inner Harbor, offering numerous shops, dining options, and attractions, like the Civil War-era warship USS Constellation, the National Aquarium, and Camden Yards, home of MLB’s Baltimore Orioles. Plus, being a leader in indoor sports, Baltimore will surely make our annual Facility Bus Tour something special.
