Referee Program Changes
I am pleased to announce changes to renewing your USIndoor Referee Certification! They reflect both advancements in online methods and universally accepted practices for officials across all sports. Essentially, renewing your referee badge has never been easier.
Effective immediately, renew your annual certification completely online without attending a referee clinic or taking a test, except every three years. (Local instructors are authorized to require clinic attendance more frequently, if needed.) As always, game assignments will be locally determined according to their own standards.
Once completing the online process, your USIndoor membership and referee certification will be renewed, and we would simply mail your new badge at your current level. If you have a local instructor, he will also be notified.
Assessments, Upgrades, and Lapses
Assessment and upgrade requests will be addressed online at https://usindoor.com/soccer/referees/assessment/ before being forwarded to your local instructor or me to manage. As always, we encourage you to seek both assessments and the upgrades you deserve! See https://usindoor.com/soccer/referees#ref-requirements for minimum requirements.
One Final Note: Should your certification lapse beyond a year, you will only be re-admitted by certifying anew for a Referee badge (currently $60) or paying the Badge fees owing for your lapsed period ($50 State, $55 National, $60 Pro per year) and current year. For your convenience, therefore, registering online will automatically enroll you in auto-renewal for future years, unless you request otherwise. You may always opt out of auto-renewal simply by emailing USIndoor, and you will receive ample reminders when the renewal date comes near, so long as your email is up to date.
We thank you for your loyalty to USIndoor’s Referee Program and are proud you are a part of our growing organization!
